Schneider selected as a Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics

GREEN BAY, Wis. (July 14, 2021) –  Schneider (NYSE: SNDR), a premier provider of trucking, intermodal and logistics services, was selected as a 2021 Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics.   

Schneider has made several commitments to sustainability and environmental stewardship, including: 

  • 7.5 percent reduction of CO2 emissions per mile by 2025; 60 percent reduction of CO2 emissions per mile by 2035.
  • Doubling our Intermodal size by 2030, thus reducing carbon emissions by an additional 700 million pounds per year.
  • Achieving carbon neutrality in all company-owned facilities by 2035.

Schneider has a long history of being an early adopter of sustainable transportation solutions, including being one of the first companies to invest heavily in intermodal, aligning the organization with rail providers who share our commitment to operating in an energy-efficient manner. 

Inbound Logistics editors determined the 2021 honorees are "walking the walk" when it comes to commitment to supply chain sustainability, no matter the business environment.
