Michael Baumgardt
Executive Vice President of Intermodal and Logistics
Michael Baumgardt is the Executive Vice President of Intermodal and Logistics of Schneider National, Inc. (SNDR), a premier multimodal provider of transportation, intermodal and logistics services.
In this role, Baumgardt is responsible for all aspects of Schneider's Intermodal and Logistics businesses, including commercial strategy, sales, customer service, marketing, operations, network planning and optimization, and Mexico operations. He works closely with customers and stakeholders to deliver innovative supply chain solutions that drive efficiency and value across North America.
Since joining Schneider in 2001, Baumgardt has held a variety of leadership positions across customer service, sales, network management, and operations. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Intermodal. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Network Optimization within Schneider's Intermodal organization.
A recognized industry leader, Baumgardt was named one of the 2025 Pros to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive in recognition of his contributions to the transportation and supply chain industry.
Baumgardt holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science degree from the University of Denver.
