President and Chief Executive Officer
Jim S. Filter is President and Chief Executive Officer of Schneider National, Inc. (NYSE: SNDR), a premier provider of transportation, intermodal and logistics services. A Schneider associate of more than 25 years, Filter has built his career within the organization, advancing from Maintenance Team Leader to CEO through a series of leadership roles spanning operations, commercial strategy and business growth.
Since joining Schneider in 1998, he has held positions of increasing responsibility across the company, including Executive Vice President and Group President of Transportation and Logistics, Chief Commercial Officer, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intermodal, and leader of Schneider's Mexico operations.
Filter’s broad experience provides a deep understanding of the company's customers, associates and operations.
Throughout his tenure, he has helped drive Schneider's growth and diversification, playing a key role in the expansion of the company's Intermodal, Dedicated and Logistics offerings. Filter has also contributed to strategic acquisitions and initiatives that have strengthened Schneider's position as a leading transportation and logistics provider.
Prior to joining Schneider, he worked at UPS and served in the United States Marine Corps. Filter holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and an MBA from Wayne State University. He also serves on the advisory board of the Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
